Extended Fabrication Capabilities

rolling 1/2-inch steelThe metal fabrication capabilities at Maple Grove Enterprises have taken a leap forward.

We recently purchased a new roll that extends our steel rolling capabilities. This beast can roll steel that is 10' wide and 1/2" thick!

We've also brought design in-house. Aaron "Reggie" Mayer uses AutoCAD to provide engineered drawings of metal fabrication projects. To the right is one of his drawings of a cyclone separator that we just fabricated for a customer.

Mitch YoungsAlthough she's only been at Maple Grove Enterprises for 9 months, Michelle Youngs has become the face and voice of the operation. If you've called or visited, you'll know her by "Mitch" (to avoid confusion with owner Michele Hobin). While hired as a receptionist, she is now also responsible for invoicing, accounts receivable, and job cost-outs, as well as coordinating all of the jobs that come through the shop and running the gas tank exchange operation.

Mitch worked in the restaurant business for over 20 years, which explains her strength in customer service and management. When asked why she left that business for here, she said, "It was time for a change. I wanted a more stable career that would also challenge me. Part of my decision in coming here is the fact that Maple Grove Enterprises is a family-owned business, which gives it a warm and personal feel."

On her off hours, Mitch and her husband Steve like to compete in tractor pulls. The most weight she's pulled is 14,500 pounds, which is pretty hefty for such a small person!
